Audible Alarm There are some SpikeMaster surge protectors that come with audible alarms. These alarms let you know that the unit is still protecting. If the unit is no longer protecting, the light will go out.
Coax Connections The number of coax connections present on the surge protector.
Coax Video Cable Length The length of the coax cable that comes included in the package with the surge protector.
Circuit Breaker Circuit breakers stop the flow of electricity when a circuit is overloaded.
Electrical Outlets The number of electrical outlets that are present on the surge protector.
Ethernet Connections The number of ethernet connections present on the surge protector.
Ethernet Cable Length The length of the telephone/fax cord that comes included in the package with the surge protector
EMI/RFI Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). These are line noise or interfering signals.
Ground Fault Any undesirable current path from a current-carrying conductor to ground
Indictor Light There are some SpikeMaster surge protectors that have indicator lights. These lights let you know that the unit is still protecting. If the unit is no longer protecting, the light will go out.
Joule A Joule is a unit of energy. In general, the higher the Joule rating, the better protection.
Power Cord Length The length of the power cord from the surge protector to the wall outlet.
Telephone Connections The number of telephone connections present on the surge protector.
Telephone/Fax Cord Length The length of the telephone/fax cord that comes included in the package with the surge protector
