How do I connect the telephone, fax, modem or Ethernet connections to my SpikeMaster surge protector? If your surge protector has phone or ethernet jacks, pass the phone/fax/modem/ethernet connection through the jacks on your surge protector. Most equipment damage can be prevented if you connect the Phone/Fax/Modem/Ethernet through the surge protector.
How do I connect the coax cable connections to my SpikeMaster surge protector? If you are using a coax cable and your surge protector has coax jacks, pass the connection through the protected coax jacks on your surge protector. Most TV/VCR damage can be prevented if you connect the coax cable through the surge protector.
One of my indicator lights is off. What does that mean? In models with a “protected” light, the light should be on when the power switch is turned on. If this light goes out at any time, it means your surge protector has sacrificed itself to protect your equipment and should be replaced.
How do I know my surge protector still is protecting my connected equipment from an electrical surge? If the indicator light on your model is lit, then your connected equipment is still protected. Some models carry an audible alarm. If your audible alarm is sounding, then your model is no longer providing connected equipment surge protection.r
